Just 3 ingredients !!!
Happy Ganesh Chaturthi to all the devotees. As we all know Ganesha loves Modak, and we like to offer the deity with Modak on all days during the Ganeshotsav festival. But practically it becomes very difficult to make the conventional Modak everyday. So I am presenting a super simple, easy and quick recipe with just three ingredients, for the festive days that Bappa and children would love!!
Serves 2-3 persons
Preparation time: 15 mins
- Condensed milk: 1/3 Cup (100 g)
- Cocoa Powder: 1/4 Cup
- Hazelnut Crush (coarsely powdered): 5 tbsp (It can be replaced with any other nut of your choice, like Cashews, almonds or walnuts)
Hazelnut (any other nut) slices – lightly dry roasted
In a non-stick pan add condensed milk, keep stirring and then add cocoa powder. The mixture will start thickening. Now gradually add a crushed or coarsely powdered nut to the mixture. So that all is incorporated well. Let it cool for about 10-15 mins and then give them the shape of a Modak as shown in the image. Stuffing the Modak is up to your discretion. Without the stuffing too they taste amazing.
For the stuffing, you need to lightly roast the nuts and slice them and then stuff them as shown in the images below. For giving them a perfect shape you do not need any mould! So this works just perfect without moulds too! Just follow the images and you would get perfect looking Modak!
I am sure this Modak offering would be loved by Bappa and all the children in the house and the one in your heart as well! This quick and simple recipe is sure to win accolades for you! So do try it today itself and enjoy this yummy delight with your family and friends!!
